From July 29, a grand flower exhibition with the theme of 'Chinese Civilization, Glorious Olympics' has been presented in 11 parks of Beijing. The exhibitions will be open during the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics and will last till September 20.

It is said that 60 groups of flower beds consisting of over five million pots of flowers are now on display in the parks. The flowers are of 20 sorts, including the traditional Chinese flowers such as orchid, chrysanthemum, Chinese rose, laurel and lotus as well as the newly introduced breeds like African balsamine and spiny spiderflower.
