11 Parks Stage Flower Exhibitions for Olympics
From July 29, a grand flower exhibition with the theme of 'Chinese Civilization, Glorious Olympics' has been presented in 11 parks of Beijing. The exhibitions will be open during the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics and will last till September 20

Flower pots planted before Olympics
Gardeners in Beijing are working furiously to plant 40 million flowers throughout the city in preparation for the 2008 Summer Olympics in August. Workers are expected to plant 5 million pots surrounding venues where the Games will take place, China's Official Xinhua news agency reported Saturday.

Flower industry output reaches 48 billion yuan
The national flower industry development and exchange meeting was held on the 21st in Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. According to the 25 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) present, incomplete statistics show that by the end of 2007, there was more than 800 mu of land for planting flowers; and their production value reached nearly 480 billion.

HK Flower Show opens with Olympic spirit
The 2008 Hong Kong Flower Show has opened at Victoria Park sporting an Olympic atmosphere. More than 200 organisations are taking part with about 350,000 flowers on display.
